Annual Croatian Events
At the Croatian Cultural Centre, we are dedicated to educating the public about Croatian art, literature, culture, language, history, and traditions while preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of Croatia and the Croatian diaspora. Through a diverse range of cultural, educational, and community programming—including annual celebrations, performances, lectures, film screenings, literary events, cultural festivals, and community gatherings—we provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds to learn about and experience Croatia's unique cultural legacy. Whether someone is exploring Croatian culture for the first time or reconnecting with their heritage, the Centre offers engaging experiences that celebrate and promote Croatia's rich artistic, historical, and cultural traditions.

Throughout the year, the Croatian Cultural Centre will host a variety of Croatian films that showcase the country's rich history, culture, language, and cinematic achievements. From acclaimed feature films and compelling documentaries to contemporary productions and timeless classics, our film screenings provide an opportunity to explore Croatian stories, perspectives, and artistic expression while bringing the community together through the shared experience of film.

Croatian History Day shines a spotlight on a different chapter of our community and nation’s past—whether honouring remarkable achievements, commemorating moments of hardship and tragedy, or celebrating the cultural milestones that have shaped our identity. Beyond its historical focus, the day also serves as an important community gathering, bringing people together to share stories, deepen connections, and collectively engage with our heritage. Through conversations, public programming, and vibrant folklore performances, we create a welcoming space for the broader community to learn about Croatia’s rich history and ensure that these important stories continue to be preserved.
